The StarPoint Consulting Group provides marketing consulting and supporting research services for B2C and B2B marketing organizations. StarPoint is a small network of experienced professionals who form ad hoc teams to collaborate on specific assignments.
Our team has at least 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, promotions, brand management, or marketing research. We also have substantial expertise in most areas of applied social science research: cultural anthropology, ethnography, psychology, semiotics and survey research.
Our singular motivation is to provide our clients with clear strategic direction that will move their marketing program forward. We are an evidence-based marketing consultancy. Observation is our starting point and we are equally comfortable with qualitative and quantitative research approaches. StarPoint Consulting’s Managing Director Jerry Cole entered the marketing field in the mid-80s by joining one of the Midwest’s largest and best known advertising agencies. It was a fabulous experience: a long list of great clients, an endless menu of challenging assignments that have led to a continuing collaboration with some of the best minds in marketing. Ten years later he launched his consulting career with engagements from fantastic clients like Audi, Volkswagen, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Sears. Jerry successfully combines the creative with the analytic aspects of the marketing profession. He has written publications on research methods and has won awards for both copywriting and for the development of highly effective marketing strategies.
