Doerner Construction

Mike Doerner is a drunk, a liar, and a cheat. He used subcontractors that did not know anything about the stuff they were working on. When our HVAC system wasn't working properly, I contacted the company whose name was on the truck. The owner told me that the guy who was putting in our new furnace only did appliance repair and knew nothing about HVAC systems. Furthermore, he only came on evenings and weekends, so they had no record of us or Doerner as a client. So it turned out to be one of his drinking buddies. We finally had the HVAC system redone to the tune of $10K-plus from a reputable firm who said ... "We have never seen it done this way before.". Bathroom tiles are cracking and we recently had a skylight replaced and when they took the old one out, they noticed that the one Doerner's carpenters installed was held in place with caulk and silicone, since the hole was too big to fit the window as designed. His crews would start around 7:00am and leave by 3:0ppm with plenty of daylight left ... which caused us to finish over a month late from the date he promised. Yet I see other neighbors' workmen stay until 5:00pm or 6:00pm. There were days when he wouldn't show up at all ... telling me he was hunting in Wisconsin. He always had an excuse for why things weren't done, but the funniest was when we had no electricity for months, because his electrician was in the hospital recovering from alcohol addition, but he told us to move in anyway. That was the last straw and we kicked him out. We finally settled the evening before our lawsuit was to go to court. What a schmuck. Don't use this guy EVER!
